MEET THE COUPLE:

Why was wedding videography a priority for you?

For one, because watching wedding videos is one of Sasha's favorite pastimes. One of the main reasons we want a wedding video is because we know there will be so many special moments during the day that we won't always be able to see or be able to fully experience at the moment.

We also want something that is a living memory of our wedding day that we can look back on and share with others. This wedding is the first in both of our families, and in the lives of many of our friends, so it feels extra important to capture as much as we can. We'd also like to share this video with friends and family who are unable to join us this November.

Why did you choose me?

Above all else, we want our wedding to be about joy. We want everyone to have the best time and be smiling, laughing, and dancing as much as possible. Your films are so light, fun, and joy-filled, we knew you would be right for us!

We love your balance of moments between the couple, speeches, and capturing the party. Your aesthetic is also exactly what we want and fits in perfectly with the vibe of The Brownstone.

Your films feel like fun rom-com (which we mean in the best possible way). We aren't looking for a super romantic or emotional film, as, while these moments are important to us, our couple dynamic is really fun-loving and lively. We think you'll do an amazing job of capturing this!

How do you spend your days when you are not at work? What's important in life?

We both work in education. Sahib is currently the Associate Director of Instructional Design & Technology at SEO Scholars, an education nonprofit that gets low-income High School students in NYC to and through college.

He is soon transitioning to be a Leadership Trainer at LifeLabs Learning, where he will be facilitating leadership and management workshops for companies. Sasha is the Associate Director of Social Impact Programs at NYU, where she runs leadership development programs for BIPOC students, and also teaches math part-time with SEO, the organization Sahib is currently at.

When not at work, Sahib loves to do home improvement projects, listen to vinyl records, and indulge in his love of mezcal. When not at work, Sasha can be found reading, cooking, or working out. Friends, family, food, wine, and music are all big values in our household!n

What experience did you want to give your guests?

We want them to be wholly immersed in the goings-on of the day. We want them to forget the journey they took to get there, the journey they will take to get home, and anything else going on outside of those venue walls. We want to create an experience where all of our guests are fully present and surrounded by vibrant color, thoughtful experiences of consumption (from music to food to drinks), and opportunities to meet Sasha and Sahib beyond who we are as individuals.

We want this experience to be one in which the people who make up our past and present identities create meaningful connections with each other.

In 10 years from now, what are you hoping to see when you re watch your wedding video?

The foundation of the partnership we cultivated and the time our many worlds collided in pops of color, laughter, tears, and dancing.

We're also hoping to witness the moments between the moments and re-live the many spontaneous connections that took place when all the people we love were in the same place at the same time.
