The day started with Trevor embracing the mountain spirit of Golden by hitting the trails for a morning mountain bike ride (because what better way to kick off your wedding day in the Rockies?). Meanwhile, Katie got ready at one of Hillside Lodge’s cozy cabins, surrounded by her closest friends.
Their outdoor ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, framed by the vibrant fall colours that make Hillside Lodge such a stunning venue at this time of year. Live musicians played as guests arrived and during the walk down the aisle, setting a romantic, intimate tone for the whole event.
Right after the ceremony, guests were treated to a champagne bar—a fun and elegant way to kick off cocktail hour. Everyone mingled under the autumn sun, soaking in the view of the Blaeberry River and the surrounding fields, before making their way to the barn for the evening festivities.
The reception at Hillside’s rustic barn was full of energy and laughter. From delicious local snacks to a late-night pizza delivery that kept the party going, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect Katie and Trevor’s love for a good time with their favourite people.
